Setup

What type of computer/operating system do I need?

EncaptureMD will run on most PC and Macintosh computers running Windows 2000 or greater or Mac OS X 10.2 or greater. A 1024x768 (XVGA) or larger monitor is suggested.

Do I need to install anything?

EncaptureMD uses the free Adobe Flash 9 plugin. Most machines already have this installed. If not, the plug-in can be easily downloaded and installed: point your web browser to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and click "Download now".

What web browsers can I use?

Currently, EncaptureMD supports Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox on the PC and Firefox on the Macintosh. Firefox is a free download.

How often do I have to update the software?

EncaptureMD is a web-based application. Updates occur automatically.

What do I need to do to get started?

We offer pre-configured report generation modality applications. You can use those, or we can work with you to modify them to your needs. We can even help you construct a new totally custom report using the powerful EncaptureMD development environment.

Can I modify one of your modality applications to make the report look the way I want?

Yes. You can change the content of the report, the way the sentences are constructed, the header and footer of your report pages, graphics… Essentially, your report will look exactly the way you wish.

Can EncaptureMD import or export data to other applications?

Yes. EncaptureMD can perform bulk import and export of data as well as communicate real-time with data sources via web services and other communication methods. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.

How does EncaptureMD improve my reimbursement?

EncaptureMD keeps track of billing codes (HCPCS and ICD-9) for you. It can check to make sure your coding is accurate. It will even suggest codes based on the results in your report.

Security

How does EncaptureMD manage security?

EncaptureMD is HIPAA compliant. It uses high-level data encryption for communication between your computers and the EncaptureMD server. The server is housed in a secure hosting facility. All interactions with the EncaptureMD server use the HTTPS protocol, including passwords. All users are assigned passwords: there is no generic user. No sensitive information is stored on the local machine. The system will auto-logout after a preset time.

How do I get answers to my questions regarding EncaptureMD?

Our goal is maintain the highest level of service. Therefore, we provide multiple levels of assistance to our customers. There are online resources, like this FAQ page, plus a web-based help system where you can contact us with your questions. Finally, you can call our service department and speak with one of our service representatives.
