A radical new architecture

EncaptureMD is a web-based relational database rapid development environment coupled with a sophisticated report generation engine. It incorporates the concept of tables and their relations. Reporting applications come with hard-coded patient, study, referring, billing, and history tables. Other "tables" (we call them applications) create inventory, research, bookkeeping or other traditional database functionality without traditional coding or the installation and maintenance of local software or servers.

Robust, Scalable, Secure System

EncaptureMD and Flexible Informatics corporate polices regarding staff and data integrity meet or exceed industry and HIPAA standards for medical information security. Communication with our secure servers is encrypted. Access to data is restricted to a need-to-know basis based on user configuration. All users must log in with a secure username and password, which can be reset or disabled by a system administrator or administrators. All FI employees and partners who deal with sensitive information are highly trained regarding information sensitivity.

User interaction with patient data is logged and the action, time, date and access points are stored thereby providing a complete audit trail. If a report is edited after its completion, that fact is documented on the report with a non-editable line appended to the end indicating the report has been modified, by whom and at what time and date.

On the client side, no information is stored in any local cache. The local client also has an auto-logout feature to prevent problems if the user fails to log out.
